Burbot

 Burbot

    Tried for burbot in one of our local lakes.  We managed to catch 7 by the time we left.  There was 2.5" of clear ice and half an inch of white ice.  With all the snow on top of the ice, it was a little sloppy.

     We stayed in one of the local hotels and went out to catch a few more pike.  I caught one on my jigging pole and Tom caught one on a tip-up.  By the time we left the fishing hole, we looked like snow people from the snowstorm.

     We made the trip to north-west Montana, to do a little pike fishing.  It was a pleasant day to be on the ice.  Tom caught two pike on his jigging pole.

     We tried another, nearby lake and caught only 7 pan fish.  High pressure had moved in and turned the bit off.

Ice

 We were on the ice before Thanksgiving.  Beautiful day to be out fishing, up here, in North Idaho.  We caught over 50 pan fish for fish sausage.

    

Hard

 Hard

     It was hard walleye fishing, these last three days, in Washington.  The current was flowing one way and the wind was blowing us in the opposite direction.  Our boat wasn't moving, causing the us to stand still.  Tom, started to troll us, along the bank.  We managed to catch 26 fish in the three days.  Two of the fish were burbot.  We took, Jan and the other Tom with us.  While there, we seen two, bull moose, swim across the lake, at dusk.
