     It was hard walleye fishing, these last three days, in Washington.  The current was flowing one way and the wind was blowing us in the opposite direction.  Our boat wasn't moving, causing the us to stand still.  Tom, started to troll us, along the bank.  We managed to catch 26 fish in the three days.  Two of the fish were burbot.  We took, Jan and the other Tom with us.  While there, we seen two, bull moose, swim across the lake, at dusk.

     There was another break in the weather.  Time to get a few more walleyes.  Fishing was a little harder this time, but we figured out what the fish were up to.  We caught our limits of walleye, for the two days and we caught 3 burbot.

     We saw a brief, break in the weather with a slight wind.  We took our neighbor Tom and head, east to Washington.  All three of us, caught our limits of walleye and we caught three burbot.

     We went back to Montana,  to get a few more kokanee to fill a canner.  Tom and I caught 26 more fish.  I was able to get 9 jars of fish...yum.

Trip

     We took a quick trip, next door, to Montana, to do a little kokanee fishing.  We took the other Tom with us.  Fishing is still a little slow.  The water needs to warm up a few more degrees.  We managed to catch 16 kokanee.  The wind came up, later that morning so no pike fishing.

     We finally got a break in the weather.  Can you believe it's still snowing?  We made a quick trip, next door to Montana,  to do a little kokanee fishing and maybe a little pike fishing.  We dragged the neighbor,  Tom,  with us.  We managed to catch 5 kokanee.  I guess the water 💧  temperature was a little too cool for the fish to start biting.  Later in the morning,  the wind came up, so we called it a day.

Spring

     Spring is finally here.  You know what that means...time to put away the ice fishing gear and get the boat out.  We took the neighbor, Tom, with us to Washington to do a little walleye fishing.  The weather channel said it was going to be a nice day, with 2 mph wind.  They lied...more like a 25 mph wind, cold and it rained on us.  But, we still fished though it.  We caught 17 walleye and I caught a burbot.  

       Since it's a three hour drive to our walleye hole, we decided to tough it out and stay the night in our tents.  The next day was nicer and the wind had calmed down.  We caught another 17 walleye, but no burbot.

Notice the walleye is missing an eye...bait.
